Personality (Basic description) : Soifon is a very loyal and militaristic Captain within the Gotei 13. She's very stubborn in her beliefs, particularly her belief in following orders. To her, following orders takes precedence over what is seen as "right" or "wrong;" enough so that she would willingly eliminate her fellow shinigami for disobeying the rules and order. This is something she sees as highly disgraceful. As she stated directly, even her own lieutenant would find death at her hands should he stand in her way. The only loyalty stronger than that to the Gotei 13 and Seireitei is her loyalty to Yoruichi.
Physical Appearance : Soifon is a short statured woman with an ever-present frown on her face. She wears her blue hair short with the exception what appear to be two braids covered in a white cloth with gold rings at each end. She wears the 2nd Division Taichou robes over her traditional shinigami uniform and, beneath that, the traditional uniform for the head of the military.
History/ Biography : Soifon was born as Shaolin into the lower ranking noble household of Fon. She was encouraged at a young age to idolize and serve Yoruichi as the next commander of the special forces and military, which she took to heart. Her entire family entered into the special forces with the knowledge that those who could not make it would be eliminated. All five of her brothers also entered into the special forces and, subsequently, died during respective missions. Promoted to a guard of Shihouin Yoruichi, she worked tirelessly to improve her skill and strength to better serve her. Here she first demonstrates her stubborn and unbending nature, finding great difficult in referring to Yoruichi as anything less formal than Yoruichi-sama, which is difficult enough for her. Her admiration grows for Yoruichi as the two appear to become closer during this assignment. Upon Yoruichi's departure from Seireitei, however, Soifon is filled with a sense of abandonment so severe that she becomes bitter and directs these emotions into a form of hatred. Over the next hundred years, she works to build her strength not to better serve Yoruichi, but rather to surpass her. Upon finally meeting up with her at Rukia's execution, she sees her chance to prove that she has become the better of the two. Even when allowing raw emotion to dictate her actions, Soifon proves a worthwhile enemy to Yoruichi in hand-to-hand combat. She even puts Yoruichi on the run when she releases Suzumebachi, striking and creating several houmonkas on her body. She is still proven to be the weaker of the two when she attempts to use shunko to defeat Yoruichi, finding that Yoruichi has a better handle on the technique. From this defeat Soifon admits to her feelings of abandonment and again takes her place at Yoruichi's side, following her command.
Zanpakutoh [Shinigami, Arrancar] (Include possible shikai to be obtained) : While it is hinted that all taichou have the ability to use bankai, Soifon has only been shown using her shikai. Her Zanpakutoh is Suzumebachi and is released with the cry "Jinteki shakusetsu." When unreleased, the sword resembles a wakizashi that she carries on her back. An interesting aspect of the wakizashi is the similarity to a Chinese dao. When released, Suzumebachi creates what appears to be a golden and blue wrist cuff and stinger on the end of Soifon's middle finger (right hand). Her zanpakutoh is most suited to close combat and speed, as two hits within the same place will instantly kill the enemy. The first hit, as explained before, creates the houmonka, which is a mark that will not fade unless she wills it to. Another aspect of Suzumebachi is that it's venom is not only useful for attack purposes, but also works as a counter-poison when she is attacked by Mabashi.

While things were seemingly turned upside down in the real world after the influx of arrancar, Seireitei had been in its own frenzy. Instead of the usual duties, various members of the different divisions found themselves with new assignments. Or, in the case of others, doing research into the motivations of a sociopath. The second division was no exception, with the slight alteration in just what their additional duties had consisted of. These duties also predated the influx of arrancar by a bit, considering their nature. Such a delicate nature it was, as well. Enough so that the normally steel resolve of the commander of the special forces would reveal a slight weakness. No, she wasn't nervous. She had just expected word would come in more frequent bouts than it had since things had begun to go awry. Yet she had not received an additional report since the first encounter with the two arrancar in Karakura town. Blue eyes would narrow dangerously as she considered the situation that exiled disgrace had placed her Yoruichi-sama in again. She still had not repressed the memories of the dank and poor conditions he had forced the woman into living in. Stopping a slow-paced walk along the pathways of Seireitei to clench her fist, she would be quickly interrupted. Several flashes of black would quickly reveal the forms of at least five of her own division, the only ones to wear the black cloth around their face. Averting her eyes to the side, just enough to catch a glimpse of them, that demeanor would be held stiff. " Your report? " A sharp command would be given, causing the man in the middle of the kneeling shinigami to respond. " There have been no new developments since the last attack. " More boring news. Returning her eyes to a forward-facing position, she'd not so easily dismiss this as a reason to relax. Then again, this woman hardly knew the meaning of such a word. " I see. " Another sharp response in her cold tone would give the signal to four of the men to return to their posts. Ignoring the formalities as they bowed and left, she'd remain in the presence of that leader for a few moments longer. The man's nerves would show just slightly as he stepped forward to her. " She's resurfaced to collect the female ryoka by his orders. " This information would immediately cause her to quirk a brow over those cold eyes. So, she's training the humans again? Giving a slow nod, she'd signal this top informant to leave. With another flash of black, the man would rejoin his comrades in carrying out their mission. It would be after this moment that her shoulders would slouch forward and that normally stone-cold facial expression would faulter. " What a disappointment..." They had obviously not had the chance to bring along more pictures this time!
